This stay was in a fantastic location. Close to great coffee, restaurants, bars, activities, public transit and rich in the Portland vibe. The stay itself was very well-appointed with great decor, comfortable furniture, and plenty of space for a group of 5! We happened to stay during a heat wave and were pleasantly surprised at how effective the AC unit worked - a less common feature in a Portland home. My family and I would absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and full of character. We especially appreciated the thoughtful details and the way the space balanced historic charm with modern comfort. The location was fantastic. We were able to walk to Hawthorne Asylum for dinner, explore the neighborhood, and enjoy dessert nearby without needing to get back in the car. It was a great introduction to Portland and a perfect stop on our way to the Oregon Coast. Communication and check in were simple and seamless. Everything was exactly as described, and the home provided everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, character-filled place in a wonderful Portland neighborhood.

My wife and I spent our wedding weekend here since we were getting married nearby. We loved how roomy and comfortable it was, and it stayed very cool on an otherwise hot weekend. James was always easy to reach, and even sent us a sweet congratulatory message on our wedding day. Would absolutely recommend this place!

James is an extremely attentive host. The apt is large and the bedding is wonderful! Very good mattresses and linens. Nice to be on the second floor, above street noise. The bar next door was closed for remodeling, so I don't know if that would've been noisy, but it's a small, local bar. The website says the bedrooms are "beautifully appointed," but I thought the furniture was very basic (except for the mattresses). No lush feeling and very little art, and the paint on door frames is chipped. One bdrm door was VERY sticky. But perhaps that doesn't matter for a short stay in a quiet, big, clean apartment. One thing to note: There's a full flight of stairs to get up to the front door and then another full flight to get up to the apartment. The stairs do have firm hand rails. Overall, a pretty good experience.

We had a great stay here with my family. The place was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The location was also convenient — we enjoyed being able to walk to nearby cafes and shops easily. There was some street noise at night, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to others!
