We really enjoyed this spot. We took this trip by my teenagers request and I felt comfortable letting him walk around and explore without us. It was spring break and the area didn't seem too busy. The restaurant next door has good fresh rolls! We enjoyed the street view the people watching was fun. Also, the bed was comfy, like by far one of the better Airbnb beds I've slept on. Notes for anyone looking at this place: 1- Let the host know ahead of time if you want to use the pullout so they can set up extra linens. 2- The tub lip is high, it's a claw foot tub, so if you have anyone with knee issues br prepared to help them into and out of the tub. 3- Laundry is on site and down some stairs. Don't hesitate to ask the host for instructions. 4- There are stairs, again if you are traveling with knee issues be ready. 5- Its an older building Don't expect a new building. It squeaks when you walk and settles in the night. The heating in the unit works, so turn it on if you're cold.

Eclectic vintage shops, independent bookstores, and walkable dining along two of Portland's most iconic streets. Mt. Tabor Park, an extinct volcanic cinder cone with panoramic city views, is a short walk east.

Portland, Oregon, United States
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna, all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit thrives in Hawthorne, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty in the Hawthorne/Buckman District!
