Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors! Make new friends over a meal at the Cartopia food cart pod, indulge in delicious wings at Fire on the Mountain, or share a pie at Apizza Scholls. Portland isn't just for foodies. Hawthorne boasts a vibrant indie spirit, with numerous made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue, serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 176-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent. Here, you'll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Whether you’re into dining, shopping, or outdoor adventures, the Hawthorne/Buckman District has something for everyone. Enjoy your stay in this eclectic and lively neighborhood!

The Modern Studio was perfect for our mini vacation. It had everything we needed, and having AC and heater was a plus! The studio was very clean, and it made us feel at home.

Our stay at Mike’s place was great! Love the location. Walkable to so many great eats and within easy driving distance of so many others. I was worried about the street parking at first, but it was actually pretty easy finding parking near the apt every day. And it is important to note that the apt faces a busy street so there are street noises and the apt walls are a bit thin, but it’s to be expected with the location and all. We managed. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

My partner and I had a great stay here! Mike quickly responded to our questions and was very accommodating to all our needs. This location is also close to many restaurants and things to do so it was a great choice. Would absolutely recommend staying here :)
