I’m giving this place 3 stars because while the location and space itself was great and as depicted, the communication for this unit seems to be managed by an AI/LLM instead of an actual person. I requested an extension on my stay and Mike, the “host”, did not accept it but kept saying that it would (I sent 3 messages and it confirmed that the place was available). Eventually I realized I wasn’t talking to a human and assumed it was glitching only to be kicked out of the place the next morning because the calendars for this unit weren’t synced and the place had been booked on a different platform. Had an actual person been managing that calendar and talking to me, I would not have had any issues here and would have been prepared to check out as usual. I am now also waiting on my refund for the cancelled extension.

This was a great spot to stay for a couple days while we visited Portland. Having the a washer and dryer was so convenient and it was such a walkable part of the city with great restaurants on the street.

5 stars for us. Had everything we needed. Grocery store down the street made it easy to get food to make breakfasts at the studio. Accessibility to bus line and restaurants were incredible. Super walkable location with a lot to see and do. There was some street noise, which is to be expected, since it’s facing Hawthorne, but ear plugs helped drown that out. Would return again.
