Great place to stay. Safe and easy access right off of Hawthorne Street. Superior location. Lots of amenities inside and everything was just as advertised. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with all things needed for cooking, but there were so many interesting places to eat within walking distance that we did not need to cook. Matthew was very easy to communicate with, but we really didn't need him for much because everything was easy to find and worked well.

Matthew’s place was very clean and had a great layout. It was conveniently located, just a 10-minute drive from the convention center and downtown. Most importantly, Matthew was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and quick to address even the smallest concerns we had. The checkout process was also the easiest and most hassle-free of any Airbnb I’ve stayed at, which I really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Eclectic vintage shops, independent bookstores, and walkable dining along two of Portland's most iconic streets. Mt. Tabor Park, an extinct volcanic cinder cone with panoramic city views, is a short walk east.

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance to a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!) Make new friends over some vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with some wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna - all within a 1.5 mile stretch. Portland isn't just for foodies. There’s vibrant indie spirit in Hawthorne, with lots of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore here in hipster heaven. Or, catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.
