Mike was a great host, very welcoming and responsive adding local recommendations. THE PILLOWS in this place are outstanding! I’m picky about my pillows because of neck issues and these were fantastic :) The kitchen was very convenient and stocked with essentials. Shampoo/conditioner and body wash were also provided. And the on site laundry was a lifesaver. The Airbnb itself was not as clean as it could have been- particularly the bathroom. A few things to note- there is no parking or elevator which is very challenging with heavy luggage especially solo with kids. There is an AC unit in the living room that doesn’t quite cool the bedrooms for sleeping if you visit during summer. Be aware the walls are very thin - there was a lot of noise in the stairwell throughout the night and early morning hours as people were lugging their suitcases down a cemented staircase. Overall a decent place to stay for a short duration or last minute accommodations. Host was very nice. 😊

We had a great stay in Portland! The location was so convenient, close to restaurants and bakery, and easy to get around and find parking on the street nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Mike is an amazing host - super communicative and helpful. The apartment is in an awesome location - very walkable with excellent access to Ladd’s Addition and Hawthorne/things to do. My family stayed here while they visited me in Portland and had a lovely time. They told me to say the shower was particularly great and they felt really safe there.

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors, with no chain restaurants in sight! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, indulge in delicious wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
