We had a really good time. The house was old and had no tv’s in any of the bedrooms, only one in the living room. We made due. The kitchen had been redone and had a new refrigerator/freezer which was really nice. It worked for my husband and I and our 4 adult kids.

This house worked really well with a larger family, and it has plenty of space to feel comfortable. The best aspect is that it is ideally situated in an area with a lot of great restaurants, shops, bakery, arcade and movie theater, and food trucks. The neighborhood is very classical Portland, and it’s fun just to walk around through the area and the parks.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful historic home close to many great restaurants, grocery store minutes away. Awesome updated kitchen and amazing old world charm. Spacious for three couples.

Host is professional. While the pictures were of the place key details were not captured. Here were some of our issues unfortunately: - there is a very strong smell of rat urine or something similar coming through the basement from teh vents. This is not something cleaning can resolve. It's an old house but at this price range this isn't really expected - There was trash and food scraps left on the back porch - There was hair on the bathroom floor in the shower - Lastly this location is next to a hoarder house that felt a bit sketchy. Again at this price point we were hoping for a bit more We still had a decent time but at almost $1000 a night this was probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. Woudl deserve a better review if the cost was 1/2 of what it was

Eclectic vintage shops, independent bookstores, and walkable dining along two of Portland's most iconic streets. Mt. Tabor Park, an extinct volcanic cinder cone with panoramic city views, is a short walk east.

Portland, Oregon, United States
Welcome to Portland’s Eastside—specifically the vibrant Hawthorne/Buckman District, often dubbed “Foodie Row.” From this home base, you’re within walking distance of Portland’s best eats, all packed into a lively 1.5-mile stretch. No chain restaurants here—just local gems. Grab vegan poutine or a grilled PB&J at Cartopia food carts, indulge in a wood-fired pie at Apizza Scholls, or treat yourself to a fine dining experience at Castagna. Beyond the food scene, the neighborhood pulses with indie energy. Explore locally owned boutiques, made-in-Oregon shops, and vintage stores that line Hawthorne Blvd. Catch a movie at the historic Bagdad Theater and Pub—a 1920s icon turned brew-and-view venue serving McMenamins fare and microbrews. Prefer nature to nightlife? Mt. Tabor Park—a dormant volcano turned city park—is just up the hill with miles of trails and sweeping views of the skyline. Whether you’re here to eat, explore, or unwind, this area offers a little bit of everything Portland does best.
