The short answer
Cycle Portland is the operator we send cyclist-guests to, running tours and rentals out of their Old Town shop at 180 NW 3rd Ave. They offer four tours — Essential Portland, Forest Park Gravel (May through September only), Brews Cruise, and Foodie Field Trip — and they're the only operator we know of in Portland running a guided gravel tour. Every tour has an e-bike option.

Daily bike rentals include helmets, locks, and route maps, at the Old Town shop.
Portland calls itself "America's bike capital" and most cities that say that are lying. Portland is mostly telling the truth — separated bike lanes downtown, a real cycling culture, routes that take you from urban core to old-growth forest in twenty minutes. If you're staying in town and you ride, the question isn't whether to bike-tour. It's who to ride with.
