Northeast Portland is where the city's creative spirit hits its stride. This part of town stretches from the bustling Alberta Arts District and Mississippi Avenue -- two of Portland's most vibrant commercial streets -- to the quieter, tree-canopied residential blocks of Beaumont-Wilshire, Grant Park, and Hollywood. It's a neighborhood that feels alive without feeling hectic, and it's one of the best places to experience Portland as a local.
The dining scene in NE Portland is exceptional. Alberta Street alone features everything from James Beard-nominated restaurants to casual taco spots, craft cocktail bars, and some of the city's best coffee roasters. Mississippi Avenue adds vintage shopping, independent bookstores, and a thriving brewery scene. And if you need a break from the action, you're minutes from the trails at Rocky Butte or the wide-open spaces of Grant Park.
Our Northeast Portland rentals range from colorful craftsman bungalows on quiet side streets to modern townhomes within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It's the most popular neighborhood among our guests for good reason -- it's central, walkable, and endlessly interesting.
Alberta Street and Mississippi Avenue are the two main commercial corridors, both packed with restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Fremont Street and Broadway also have great neighborhood spots. The Hollywood District offers easy MAX light rail access to downtown.
NE Portland is just 10-20 minutes from downtown by car or public transit. The Hollywood MAX station connects directly to downtown, the airport, and other parts of the city. Many of our NE properties are also very bikeable to the city center.
Very much so. NE Portland has excellent parks (Grant Park, Alberta Park, Wilshire Park), family-friendly restaurants, and quiet residential streets. It's one of the most popular areas for families visiting Portland.
Most of our NE Portland rentals have dedicated off-street parking or easy street parking. Unlike downtown, parking is generally free and plentiful in residential NE neighborhoods.
