Connors place is my favorite air b and b in Portland! There was a bit of confusion due to some of the automated messaging air b and b shoots out when checking in, but Connor was super responsive and and that was taken care of quickly.

Not accurately represented, photos have filters on them with professional lighting. Needs a lot of maintenance and updates to old infrastructure. Plumbing & tile need repairs. (Hard to turn on and off faucets and noisy pipes, mildew in bathroom needs re-grouting and caulking). Difficult to access only 1 of the 4 gates on property are usable. Extremely loud street all night with Trimet. Kitchen could use more tools for cooking (cookie sheet or pan). Only had 2 towels for 2 people for a week. Love the fireplace, and bed is comfy and bedding soft. Overall decent and cute neighborhood, responsive host but definitely not worth the price.

Nice central location close to Downtown Portland. I really enjoyed having the private yard space. Cozy couch and fireplace !

I loved this place, it was perfect for me. The gas fireplace was so delightful & the kitchen had just enough utensils. There's only YouTube TV with commercials... but why on earth would you want to watch TV when you can be in Portland? Oh! The bathtub rocked & there is sooo much hot water 👍 There are city sounds, but the 17 line bus is right there out front to get you where you need to go. It felt like home for a while. Please enjoy this place? It's special... I miss it already.

Connor is a responsive and super helpful host! We stayed here for about a month and he made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. It was easy to work from home in and we had close access to great food in walking distance. As mentioned in other comments, you are right on the corner of a busier road and it’s a bit loud at times. But I still would 100% recommend staying!

Neighborhood highlights
Nestled on SE Holgate Blvd, you’re in a diverse and up-and-coming pocket of SE Portland—right where Creston-Kenilworth meets Lents. Here’s a local’s insider guide: ☕ Coffee & Brunch • Portland Cà Phê, a beloved Vietnamese coffee shop serving iced robusta, ube lattes, and bánh mì—just steps away . • Keeper Coffee and Flour Market, popular for breakfast classics and pastries near Holgate . 🍽️ Eats & Drinks • A mix of casual neighborhood joints: 28 Tigers, a cozy spot for comfort food; Cafe Rowan, a laid-back brunch café; and nearby Kern Park Floral with grab-and-go eats • SE Division food-cart pods and craft breweries are just a short ride away, offering everything from tacos to artisan brews (per Eater Portland’s dining maps) 🌳 Parks & Outdoors • Kenilworth Park, an 8-acre green space with sports fields and playgrounds, is a pleasant 10-minute walk • The much larger Lents Park (38 acres), featuring a playground and summer softball games, is about a mile south • Local improvements are underway: new sidewalks and safer crossings are coming to Holgate Blvd by 2026 — great for walkers and cyclists 🚋 Transit & Accessibility • The MAX Green Line stop at SE Holgate Blvd & I‑205 is a quick drive or short bus ride—perfect for easy access downtown and beyond • Bus line 17 on Holgate runs east-west across the city • Free street parking is almost always available for those with cars 🏡 Vibe Expect a neighborhood with roots and authenticity—vintage shops, local florists, and long-standing diners dot the tree-lined blocks. It’s both a home base for families and a growing destination for foodies seeking something off the typical path. While Holgate can feel busy, sidewalks and community improvements are adding vibrancy and accessibility.
