Nestled on SE Holgate Blvd, you’re in a diverse and up-and-coming pocket of SE Portland—right where Creston-Kenilworth meets Lents. Here’s a local’s insider guide: ☕ Coffee & Brunch • Portland Cà Phê, a beloved Vietnamese coffee shop serving iced robusta, ube lattes, and bánh mì—just steps away . • Keeper Coffee and Flour Market, popular for breakfast classics and pastries near Holgate . 🍽️ Eats & Drinks • A mix of casual neighborhood joints: 28 Tigers, a cozy spot for comfort food; Cafe Rowan, a laid-back brunch café; and nearby Kern Park Floral with grab-and-go eats • SE Division food-cart pods and craft breweries are just a short ride away, offering everything from tacos to artisan brews (per Eater Portland’s dining maps) 🌳 Parks & Outdoors • Kenilworth Park, an 8-acre green space with sports fields and playgrounds, is a pleasant 10-minute walk • The much larger Lents Park (38 acres), featuring a playground and summer softball games, is about a mile south • Local improvements are underway: new sidewalks and safer crossings are coming to Holgate Blvd by 2026 — great for walkers and cyclists 🚋 Transit & Accessibility • The MAX Green Line stop at SE Holgate Blvd & I‑205 is a quick drive or short bus ride—perfect for easy access downtown and beyond • Bus line 17 on Holgate runs east-west across the city • Free street parking is almost always available for those with cars 🏡 Vibe Expect a neighborhood with roots and authenticity—vintage shops, local florists, and long-standing diners dot the tree-lined blocks. It’s both a home base for families and a growing destination for foodies seeking something off the typical path. While Holgate can feel busy, sidewalks and community improvements are adding vibrancy and accessibility.

Had a great stay! The space was clean and comfortable, and was very walkable to restaurants, coffee, and parks. Connor was very responsive and helpful. Great little spot!

The photos of the apartment must have been done years ago. The condition of the carpet and stove were abysmal and the bathroom needed to be updated as the tub/shower area looked original and very dated. There was a problem connecting to the TV which needed a code to be able to work. Connor was quickly on this and it did get connected, but very inconvenient, as a previous tenant had left their connecting information, which should have been cleared before our visit. Private yard was pretty much non-existant, which truly was a rocky entrance into the house, behind a fence, facing a busy street. Positives were a comfortable bed, working A/C, which was noisy and located only in the bedroom, and Connor's communication which was quick and courteous. The location was convenient for our stay but the price paid was definitely out of line for what we received. Would not stay again.

While Connor is responsive, this place ranks at the bottom of our Airbnb experiences. Spent the first 2 days of our stay messaging Connor about all sorts of problems. Had to ask for extra hangers and towels (only 3 hangers for 2 people and 1 wash cloth). Then bathroom wall outlet didn’t work. The stove and oven knobs were bent and we couldn’t turn off the oven. The handyman came to fix these problems but then made the lockbox hard to operate. Positives: comfortable bed, water in bath/shower heats up quickly, washer and dryer work well after cleaning grimy layer. Negatives: No luggage rack. No toilet paper holder. Not enough silverware (only 3 forks, spoons and knives) and no small plates. Only 2 unscratched pot and pan safe to use, others are all scratched Teflon, which is a health hazard. No ice trays and no filtered water jug. No stoppers in sinks. Most of the negatives were mentioned by other guests before us, but not addressed. We will not return and will not recommend this place.

This home has alot of unclean parts. Starting with the floors bees all over so be careful stains all over the carpet. Blood stain on the bedding dusty. Rat traps next to all the food so be careful. Bathroom tube needs scrubbing and the walk way is dark and unstable. This home is not worth 300 not even 200

Felt homey and nice ambiance. Carpets, kitchen pans, stove are beat up and not pleasant to use but serviceable. An older place, the good insulation kept it cool during August weather and muffled street sounds. Connor was an excellent and responsive host, bed very comfy and it was nice to have a small private yard for my pup.

We really enjoyed our stay -- as he mentions, the road in front can be busy, but the location is convenient, especially as the bus stops right in front of the house. The space is older and has great character and wonderful natural light. Connor was a super host and very responsive for our every need and question. We would definitely stay there again!
