Kimberly was a great host - responsive and kind! The Airbnb was in an amazing location off Hawthorne with coffee and bars within walking distance. However, the Airbnb is on the bottom floor of a townhome and the upstairs occupant was loud throughout the entire day from playing loud music, building furniture (?), and loud walking. It felt like more noise than I anticipated from the description. I brought my dog who needed to constantly be calmed down from the footsteps and random noises.

Friendly responsive host, fine place to stay. The noise from the upstairs neighbors was terrible, loud music and talking right above the bedroom well into the early hours of the morning. The welcome message from the host mentioned the possible noise and quiet hours but the listing really should advise of this. Luckily I can sleep through most noise but I awoke even several times or was kept up one night due to the noise and for long long times. Bathroom shows wear, there were ants. Couch had cover but still smelled like dog. Nice stay but not great value or the most comfortable given these factors.

Walking distance from a lot of great food spots and so close to everything else! Very quiet location as well.

Great location and such a spacious place with an open layout. No extra clutter decor and nice lighting. The best kitchen area. Great cancelation policy. I was staying a few nights while my own home nearby was being worked on. My only critical feedback was the cleaning state and noise - just subpar for hiring cleaners for this place IMO, but cleanliness is so subjective. As for the long term tenants upstairs, I would update the quiet hours to be midnight to 8am as that is about the time they all settled down above me. Not a place for light sleepers as stated, but that is in the very fine print of the description. If you are out on the town and going to be out late, this place is perfect. The unit is not the townhouse itself, but the lower garage level of the property with entry on the side.

It was a wonderful stay for my husband, service dog and I. it happens ir was just a block from one of our favorite restaurants Jam. Nice local bar, farmers market stand, pizza and more. Thanks to a really good host.

Eclectic vintage shops, independent bookstores, and walkable dining along two of Portland's most iconic streets. Mt. Tabor Park, an extinct volcanic cinder cone with panoramic city views, is a short walk east.

Portland, Oregon, United States
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! This vibrant area boasts a Powell's bookstore, Blue Star Donuts, music venues, and much more. Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with wings at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit thrives in Hawthorne, with numerous made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. To truly experience Portland, this is the area you need to stay in! Enjoy the perfect blend of culinary delights, local culture, and natural beauty in the Hawthorne/Buckman District.
