Walking time from the home
East Burnside is Portland's best-kept-secret restaurant row - less crowded than the popular spots but packed with some of the city's most talked-about food. Kann is worth seeking out - Haitian-inspired, live-fire cooking from a Top Chef alum. Book ahead for this special night out. Screen Door is a few blocks away and serves some of the best Southern brunch on the West Coast - the fried chicken and waffles are legendary (get there early on weekends or put your name in online). For a low-key night in, Dimo's Apizza does incredible New Haven-style pizza from a wood-fired oven - order a whole pie or explore their Italian deli. When you need a break from eating, Laurelhurst Theatre is a classic Portland movie pub - catch a film with a beer and pizza. And for something special, Knot Springs is nearby with soaking pools, sauna, steam room, and cold plunge, plus a deck overlooking the river and downtown skyline. A few of our favorites nearby: Screen Door — legendary Southern brunch and fried chicken (get there early) · Kann — Haitian live-fire cooking, one of Portland's hottest restaurants · Dimo's Apizza — New Haven-style pizza, charred and perfect · Laurelhurst Theatre — movies, beer, and pizza in a classic theater · Knot Springs — soaking pools, sauna, and cold plunge with skyline views The neighborhood is central to everything - buses connect to downtown, and you're a short walk or ride from Hawthorne, Belmont, and the Central Eastside. It's an easy home base for exploring all of Portland.

We enjoyed our stay so much, great location and very cozy and comfy stay! The space was perfect for our little family of 3. Kimberly was so responsive and accommodating, she provided a pack n play for our baby and it made our stay so much better, she even provided a baby towel for bath time. Beds were super comfy! We had coffee at no preference coffee down the street 100% recommended!! SO GOOD! would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place and this is the 2nd time I have stayed at one of Kimberly's rentals. She is easy to work with, communicates clearly and responds quickly This rental is on a busy street as the description does mention. I had no trouble with the location and, in fact, there are several very nice restaurants across the street or 2 doors down. The neighborhoods around the rental are safe and great for walking and also have easy access to one of Portland's many biking greenways which gives you easy access to bike trails along the Willamette and a bridge over the river reserved for pedestrians, bikers and transit only. I will continue to stay in Kimberly's rentals as long as she will have me :)

Kimberly was super responsive, the stay went great. The only nit was the spotty wifi, so plan accordingly if you need it.
