Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance to a wide variety of top-notch local flavors! Make new friends over a meal at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls. But Portland isn't just for foodies. There’s vibrant indie spirit in Hawthorne, with lots of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore here in hipster heaven. Or, catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. And if bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 176-acre city park on an extinct volcanic cinder cone, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.

I loved the location and the development. And communications with the host were great. However, it was very damp and humid inside. The unit had a bad smell of mildew or mold.

I was pleased with my stay with Daniel in Portland, OR. The space was very clean, and we loved that there was a full kitchen with spices, oil, ice cubes, and every appliance we would need! Upon arrival I did have trouble finding the residence since it is behind a home, but Daniel was quick to respond and help guide us. We were greeted with cold waters, and cookies- great touch! The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. They have shampoo & body wash available which I appreciated. They also offer a shared laundry room (not in the space). There is a grocery store about 2 minute walk away and we found parking easily. There are restaurants within walking distance and we felt comfortable walking around at night. There is a local bus stop was about a 7 minute walk away and takes you into the city very easily. Overall great stay!

We enjoyed our short time in Portland, Daniel’s spot felt safe and tucked away in a pretty convenient location. The layout felt really nice and thought through, but the only thing I would mention is that I wished we would’ve had more linens. Other than that, it was super easy to check in and get settled. Parking is a bit of a hassle in this location, so just be ready to circle the neighborhood a few times if you’re coming back late. But it felt super safe, so walking a bit wasn’t too crazy. All in all, pretty solid stay!
