Portland's most walkable urban neighborhood — converted warehouses, art galleries, upscale dining, and Powell's City of Books. First Thursday gallery walks draw crowds monthly.

We really appreciated how clean and well stocked this Airbnb was, we had plenty of what we needed to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The layout was perfect for traveling with teens - the top floor’s layout was like a hotel suite (wet bar, living space), and the bottom felt like a separate apartment, which gave us each space for solitude. The host was very responsive and got our questions about parking, WiFi, and rooms answered very quickly! The home is surrounded by businesses and is right under a freeway, so the listing’s info about noise should definitely be considered - esp for light sleepers. Be sure to read the disclaimer about the number of rooms actually available; it was a bit confusing at the time of our booking - since the listing said three rooms, and the disclaimer said two, which the host validated, but when we checked in, we got to choose two out of a total of four rooms.

Great place to explore Portland from Spacious, centrally located, and not too hard to reach from the airport with public transportation. Walking distance to a Safeway, the huge kitchen has all the things you'd need to cook. Although there was initially a problem with the WiFi, the host was exceptionally responsive and helped troubleshoot the situation. As another review has mentioned, the giant kitchen windows don't have any window covering, putting you on full display for any passers-by. Entry is controlled by a single key housed in a lockbox. If you're staying with a group of friends, it can be a hassle to manage. The streetcar is loud, and rattles the whole building. It doesn't run all night, though. You should not book this place if you are a light sleeper!

The listing was advertised as an “entire place,” but when we arrived, the back door was open and unlocked and there was an interior door leading to a basement space. We also received conflicting information about whether another guest might need access through the unit, which was not clearly disclosed. Due to these concerns, we did not feel comfortable staying.
