We had a great time in Portland, and with the busy plans we had, it was so nice having a cozy place to come home to and wake up in. The bed was really comfy especially for a side sleeper like me. The area is way quieter than it seemed at first and nights were peaceful. We could walk to Mt. Tabor park in <30 minutes, and a bunch of great restaurants were walking distance or a very short drive away. Also, we were really grateful for the onsite laundry after our long hikes. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a place that was walkable to everything. From restaurants to grocery stores, this place nailed it. The unit was super cute and fully equipped, with the added convenience of laundry facilities, and Kimberly is an amazing host.

Had a great stay here! Location was perfect, very close to tons of great restaurants and in a very walkable area. I was a little worried about parking situation but was able to find super close street parking every time, many times directly in front of the building. The unit is super cute, has everything you need, and the bed was very comfortable! The apartment can get a little warm during hot days (there's a portable A/C unit in the bedroom, but it doesn't do a great job at cooling the rest of the house) but other than that the stay was very lovely!

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! Enjoy vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for an elegant night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn’t just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with a multitude of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor. This 196-acre city park, located atop a dormant volcano vent, offers miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, providing a perfect escape into nature right within the city limits. Whether you're a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or someone who loves exploring unique shops, the Hawthorne/Buckman District has something special for everyone.
