Matthew’s apartment in Ladd’s Addition is a perfect spot to stay while being walkable to restaurants and things, yet it felt private and quiet. Organized and clean, my friends and I had a fun short trip to visit Portland. Would stay again.

The place was perfect for 3 friends and a dog. The place had everything we needed for our overnight. Great neighborhood for dining and drinks. Easily walkable. The AC worked well, shower was great, beds and linens were comfortable. Great communication throughout the engagement. 100% recommend!

Great place in an excellent location. Easy access to everything we wanted to do bi foot and public transit and tons of great food options nearby in Hawthorne asylum, 50licks, kachka and walking distance to OMSI. Make sure host sends you codes for both the gate and door for check in.

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance to a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!) Make new friends over some vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with some wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna - all within a 1.5 mile stretch. Portland isn't just for foodies. There’s vibrant indie spirit in Hawthorne, with lots of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore here in hipster heaven. Or, catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.
