We had a lovely stay at Connor’s place in PDX! Great location and a nice remodeled older home
Justus
We had a great stay overall! The location was excellent and extremely close to public transportation, which made getting around easy. We also rented a car for one night and had no issues parking right out front. Connor was super responsive and easy to communicate with. Check-in was simple and hassle-free, and we appreciated having essentially no check-out tasks or extensive list of rules/chores. The whole experience felt very relaxed. The home was stocked well and the linens were very clean. The kitchen was useful for breakfast, and the fridge was great for snacks, although it was missing some shelving. The home is a little older than the listing made it seem, with a few minor maintenance quirks, particularly doors that didn’t always close fully or would pop open. The bathroom door into one of the bedrooms was the biggest example. We were out exploring most days, so the home worked very well for our needs. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend it!

Great spot, lots of charm and nearby restaurants

I booked this spot to gather with 4 family members for a weekend trip. There are lots of comfy beds and there is space to spread out. The AC kept the majority of the place fairly cool. We used the kitchen to cook a couple of meals. On the second day there was an electrical issue that impacted the ceiling lights, refrigerator and an outlet powering the wifi and a window AC unit. While Connor was very responsive after I reached out about the issue, it wasn't resolved before we checked out. I imagine a trip to the breaker box would have fixed it though no one was available to come to the house to trouble shoot and we were asked to not look for the breaker box. Things happen and issues come up. I find that my best stays are when the host is available to show up in person.

Such a great vacation to Portland. Great walks to coffee shops and kids liked to nearby park. The house was clean and looked like the photos. It was easy to find and great communication with the host. The house had everything we needed- kitchen tools and appliances, towels, comfy beds. We’d stay again!

Eclectic vintage shops, independent bookstores, and walkable dining along two of Portland's most iconic streets. Mt. Tabor Park, an extinct volcanic cinder cone with panoramic city views, is a short walk east.

Portland, Oregon, United States
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!). Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn't just for foodies. Hawthorne boasts a vibrant indie spirit, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.
