Portland's most eclectic, walkable neighborhoods — Hawthorne, Division, Belmont, and Clinton — with independent shops, food carts, and vibrant dining.
Also close by: Division Street · Mt. Tabor Park · Eastside Esplanade
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—with plenty to explore. Explore the Cartopia food cart pod or share a pie at Apizza Scholls. But Portland isn’t just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with a multitude of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor. This 176-acre city park, located atop a dormant volcano vent, offers miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, providing a perfect escape into nature right within the city limits. Whether you're a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or someone who loves exploring unique shops, the Hawthorne/Buckman District has something special for everyone.

Loved the place! Exactly as advertised. Lots of nice restaurants and places in the immediate area, and we ended up walking to the downtown which really wasn't too far either. Would definitely stay again! -Bobby

Jeff was extremely kind and granted us an early check-in as we were crunched with time to make it to a concert. His Airbnb listing was gorgeous inside and had wonderful amenities, and was very roomy as well! There was a coffee pod already loaded in the Keurig. Very welcoming.
