Nicely updated and clean, with plenty of room. James was very responsive.

Great location, clean and a responsive host. I would definitely recommend. The entry way seems to be shared with other units and I don’t know exactly what would prevent them from walking up the stairs to this unit. That was our only complaint, so it might be worth asking the host for further details.

Great stay in a traditional Portland split level house, loved the style and its very spacious overall. The kitchen/ living room area is well appointed and the queen beds very comfortable. The neighborhood has a lot of walkable spots, several good restaurants and bars within just an 10 minute walk through mostly residential area. I would note there are some steep stairs to get into the place, for awareness, and the keypad does require some patience. Good to also note the third bedroom has bunkbeds but it does have a lot of extra space as well with the play area and desk.

My family and I stayed at James’ place Portland for 5 nights in late September. The place is as described in the listing and James was a responsive and kind host. The location is very walkable to a nice grocery, plenty of coffee, restaurants and a nice park. The kitchen was nice to have for a few meals in. The kids room, bunk beds, and tepee were a hit with my kids. We knew there was a bar directly next door prior to booking but risked it and actually lucked out as the bar was closed for repairs while we were there. Frustratingly, however, the walls are very thin in James newly remodeled building and there was a LOT of noise after established quiet hours from the other/adjacent/downstairs Airbnb that prevents me from recommending James’ place for other families.
