My family and I stayed at James’ place Portland for 5 nights in late September. The place is as described in the listing and James was a responsive and kind host. The location is very walkable to a nice grocery, plenty of coffee, restaurants and a nice park. The kitchen was nice to have for a few meals in. The kids room, bunk beds, and tepee were a hit with my kids. We knew there was a bar directly next door prior to booking but risked it and actually lucked out as the bar was closed for repairs while we were there. Frustratingly, however, the walls are very thin in James newly remodeled building and there was a LOT of noise after established quiet hours from the other/adjacent/downstairs Airbnb that prevents me from recommending James’ place for other families.

Interesting layout but overall nice place! If you’re looking to cook, the kitchen isn’t super stocked with things but it has the basics. This place definitely has a fun vibe.

We had an excellent stay at this rental. The host was responsive, and the place was clean and spacious for 6 people. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient for exploring the area, and we especially appreciated having plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy time together. The host made everything easy from start to finish, and we would definitely stay here again!
