Welcome to Central Southeast Portland, a foodie's paradise where the options are endless! As a food fanatic myself, I can assure you that you're just a short walk away from some of the city’s best restaurants, delicious bakeries, renowned local coffee and tea shops, lively bars, and vibrant nightlife. You'll also find boutique shops, grocery stores, and so much more right at your doorstep. Beyond the culinary delights, the neighborhood offers a wealth of parks and recreational opportunities. Take a leisurely stroll or enjoy a picnic at Laurelhurst Park, known for its beautiful landscapes and serene pond. For those who love to stay active, the Eastbank Esplanade provides a scenic path along the Willamette River, perfect for walking, running, or cycling. Art enthusiasts will appreciate the local art scene, with numerous galleries and murals adding a splash of creativity to the area. Don't miss a visit to the Portland Art Museum or the quirky, yet fascinating, Independent Publishing Resource Center. For your convenience, I’ve created a guide highlighting some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood, and I’m happy to share it with my guests upon request. Enjoy your stay and make the most of what Central Southeast Portland has to offer!

This place is a dynamite location. It’s walkable to so many incredible restaurants and things to do. Don’t miss Mirasata (a Sri Lankan place 7 minutes walk away) or the kid-friendly eclectic art museum Hopscotch a 25 minutes walk away. The neighborhood was beautiful too. We could even walk to a grocery in 7 minutes! The beds and linens were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed including a well-stocked coffee machine. Keep in mind this place does not have its own laundry(this is clear in the listing). It was a bit chilly when we visited but the heaters work well and we were very comfortable in the house. I would recommend this for a small family (2-4 people) or two couples who are interested in a city-atmosphere. There is some noise from the bars and restaurants nearby which is to be expected and is also mentioned in the listing.

Being with walking distance to Rukdiew Cafe, The Vern, and Bare Bones is honestly pretty hard to beat. This place is worth a stay!

The apartment location was amazing. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and quick drive to downtown. Beds were comfortable. Even though the apartment is next to restaurants and a bar, it wasn’t too noisy. The sound machines were great. A couple negatives are a musty smell, little flies coming from the garbage disposal (even though we ran it every time we used it).

Over all, great location and good space for our 10 day stay. Space was roomy, kitchen great, location good. TV with ROKU was nice. Having 2 full bathrooms (2 bedrooms) was great. Parking, although on the street, was never an issue. Very convenient location to downtown as well as local Portland areas such as Hawthorne. No lamps at all in the house, all lighting was overhead, which made reading in bed impossible. Furnishings are a little sparse and the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. AC is a single floor unit in the family room by the entrance, doesn’t really cool bedrooms and bathrooms in the back. Heating unit worked only in one bedroom. The back bedroom didn’t work, but there was a portable heater that was OK. Heating unit in family room/kitchen would turn off after about 10 minutes.
