Great space and location. Our band was playing about 15 minutes away and we needed a place for all of us to crash for the night, and it was perfect. Austin is very communicative and made the whole experience smooth and easy.

Austin's place was perfect for a 4 day work trip I took to Portland, OR with a few colleagues. The place was located in a great neighborhood, very walkable, well equipped for a longer stay, secure, clean, and comfortable. Austin was quick to reply to any messages, and provided us with clear instructions throughout the check-in and check-out process. I'd recommend Austin's place to anybody traveling to Portland and in need of a nice spot to call home for a brief time.

This was adequate as a home base but not really a comfortable place to stay, especially for the price. We had trouble with the front door lock, the smell was not great (like that particular funk of a thrift store), the living room furniture was stained and torn, and the heating unit in one bedroom made an awful high pitched engine noise that could be heard throughout the entire house. Positives - the hosts were quick to respond and did send someone to fix the front door lock immediately, but they were not able to do anything about the heating unit. There was also adequate bedding, towels, etc for the number of people we had staying. I would not stay here again, though.

The apartment was in a quiet location near delicious restaurants and bars, so I didn't experience any inconveniences during my stay. However, the air conditioner didn't work well, so it was quite cold at night.

Portland's most eclectic, walkable neighborhoods — Hawthorne, Division, Belmont, and Clinton — with independent shops, food carts, and vibrant dining.
