Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of local flavors! Enjoy fries and poutine at the Cartopia food cart pod, or share a pie at Apizza Scholls. But Portland isn’t just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with a multitude of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor. This 176-acre city park, located atop a dormant volcano vent, offers miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, providing a perfect escape into nature right within the city limits. Whether you're a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or someone who loves exploring unique shops, the Hawthorne/Buckman District has something special for everyone.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was kind, responsive, and made us feel welcome from the start. Everything was spotless, and we had all we needed, and then some. The location is very walkable, with great restaurants and bars just steps away, so there was always something fun to do. The home is in a lively urban neighborhood, and there's a clinic across the street. A gated entrance with a code and a locked door made us feel very safe and comfortable. We'd happily stay again. Thank you for a great experience!

We loved the place! Came to Portland for a wedding with the kids. The place was wonderful - clean, great location, and the communication was prompt and helpful. Would consider it again next time we’re in Portland.

This is multi family apartment style building and we got a basement level unit. Hence, the noise from the footsteps and movement upstairs is unbearable. We hear it the entire day and night non stop. You hear the cars all day as well. It is not kid friendly at all. The photos make the place look bigger than it is. The washer is disgusting with black mold in it. Living room smaller than shown in pics. Also quite expensive considering the valuation of the unit. On the bright side the neighbourhood is nice with great food and vintage shops within walking distance.
