AJ was the most communicative host I have ever had. The place is right off SE Hawthorne, perfect for my thrifting and great food trip. It is right on a busy street but AJ provided a sound machine, which helped me. I really liked how tall the ceiling was in the shower, and shower head. The kitchen had more countertop space than I thought, which was nice.

Great location. Sweet and cozy attic apartment. Bathroom and second bedroom are a little awkward, but manageable

AJ was great. He was responsive and answered questions right away. Great location in Hawthorne and a good space. 2nd bedroom is a little tight and in an awkward spot but functional. Parking is a little tight as well if you're driving a full size pickup/SUV.

We had a great stay at AJ’s place the weekend of Halloween. Lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance, including a branch of Powell’s books, and some great vintage clothing shops. The apartment was cozy and inviting, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Rebecca
Really nice place, spotless and real convenient location near cool areas on Hawthorne.

Let me start with positives. This place is really nice and lovely once inside. It has a right type of traveler. My family and I were not the right fit. I say this because the place was mostly fine otherwise, just not aligned for us. The parking situation is less than ideal and created a lot of stress as we had to share with another party and not what was advertised in the description. The trip up the stairs is real too. If you’re traveling light…maybe less an issue. This was a long trip for our family with lots of baggage. Steep stairs for heavy bags. I’ll note this is not a gripe from someone out of shape; just a pain in the rear for anyone with many (heavy) bags. Lastly…a B getting in and out. Not a fan of the extra step with the key. Also…and sorry for the blow-up…description on space is inaccurate. There is no large table or space as described. It’s on the small size, not for families. Place is good, not complaining. But fair to point out realities in your search.
