The location and area are great. The host was very responsive. We did have difficulty initially with the door code and the TV, which the cleaning staff should verify are set up and working each time they exit the unit. The apartment is rather dark with thin walls - it was easy to hear conversations from the unit above and be heard by them but they were not too noisy during our stay. Shower is good as Portland showers go, a little tricky getting in and setting the right temperature. We liked the entry level Keurig with plenty of pods, and a sofa long enough to sleep on. The bedroom and living room could use lamps vs. just bright overhead lights, and a dresser in the bedroom and more drawer space in the living room would be nice. 11 am checkout is good but 4 pm check-in may be a little late. Ultimately we didn't spend much time in the unit, because as stated the location at the north end of NW 23rd is primo, so this stay was enjoyable for us.

Lovely spot at a perfect location. Walk to 23rd for some great restaurants, grab groceries from new seasons or catch the bus right outside the house

We stayed here because it was available the day of the booking as our over night stay in Portland was a last minute plan! My husband had testing for his heart early the next morning, so we didn’t get to walk around the neighborhood, though from what I saw, it was a beautiful neighborhood and had many things within walking distance it would have been nice to visit if time had permitted! Connor, the host, was very responsive even though we arrived around 10:30 pm. The only hard part was that it was hard to find the correct apartment door in the dark. And I would say if you’re easily bothered by hearing the people above you, that is something to note, as there were pretty heavy footsteps from the people living in the above unit around 6am. Other than those two things, it was a lovely stay and we really enjoyed our time in the apartment! I highly recommend it :)

Portland, Oregon, United States
Welcome to Northwest Portland—one of the city’s most iconic and beloved neighborhoods. Nestled in the heart of the historic Alphabet District, this walkable enclave blends old Portland charm with a vibrant, modern lifestyle. Tree-lined streets and beautifully preserved homes give the area a timeless feel, while just around the corner, NW 23rd Avenue (affectionately known as “Trendy Third”) buzzes with life. This popular stretch is packed with locally owned boutiques, chef-driven restaurants, cozy cafés, cocktail bars, and dessert spots like Salt & Straw and Papa Haydn. Whether you’re up for a leisurely brunch, window shopping, or an evening of wine and small plates, it’s all right outside your door. Outdoor lovers will appreciate being minutes from Washington Park—home to the world-renowned Japanese Garden, International Rose Test Garden, and Oregon Zoo. Just beyond that lies Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the U.S., offering over 80 miles of hiking and biking trails through lush Pacific Northwest wilderness. Cultural highlights are also close at hand. Spend an afternoon browsing the Portland Art Museum, catch an indie film at historic Cinema 21, or explore nearby galleries and pop-up events. The neighborhood frequently hosts farmers’ markets, art walks, and street fairs that make you feel like part of the local rhythm. With its unbeatable mix of walkability, dining, nature, and culture, this location offers an authentic Portland experience that keeps guests coming back.
