The location, host communication and check in are excellent. If you prioritize location and need multiple bedrooms, this is a great airbnb.\n\nA few things are worth mentioning:\n- there is a lot of noise at night. In particular, noise from the street (buses, trucks) throughout the night as well as noise from neighbors (very thin walls). If you are a light sleeper or bothered by noise, this is not the place for you.\n- general condition of the apartment: this is an old house that has been refinished with some newer amenities. Doors do not close fully, the bathroom and shower leaves a lot to be desired, etc. The renovation work is not super hight end, though adequate (faucets worked, etc). It feels like a 3-star accomodation. Basic, good enough if you're not picky.\n- cleanliness: the place was cleaned, but there is a fair amount of pet hair and pet smell in parts of the apartment. Also, the baseboards, nooks and crannies have accumulated dirt and grime.\n- Beds are very soft.\nOverall: 3.5/5

November 2025

Check-in was a breeze, the place was immaculate, and the beds were super comfy. Just a heads-up: there’s only one bathroom on the main floor (as the listing says). That’s pretty typical for the house’s style. So, if you’re someone who likes to use the bathroom late at night, just be prepared to walk down a few stairs. This wasn’t a huge issue for us and all in all this was a great place to stay. Would like to stay again.

Great value for the stay in Portland. Place was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay! Connor is very responsive and helpful. The place does have two sets of steep stairs so its a little precarious with a toddler. Overall, a great find in Portland. Thanks again!

October 2025

I found this place for the night as I was traveling home and wanted a good spot to stay that was close to good food places and coffee shops. I love this neighborhood too so was fun to pretend like I was a local for the evening/morning I was there. One thing I will say is that you can hear the cars driving by, but if you have earbuds in (especially while sleeping), it is easy to tune them out. Connor was probably one of the most responsive hosts I have ever had, responding quickly when I had trouble figuring out my app to find the code. That alleviated a lot of my stress! I would definitely come back with my friends again the next time I am in town!

the balcony should be cleaned as dog poobs are there. windows are too old. overall satisfied.

Neighborhood highlights

Welcome to Northwest Portland—one of the city’s most iconic and beloved neighborhoods. Nestled in the heart of the historic Alphabet District, this walkable enclave blends old Portland charm with a vibrant, modern lifestyle. Tree-lined streets and beautifully preserved homes give the area a timeless feel, while just around the corner, NW 23rd Avenue (affectionately known as “Trendy Third”) buzzes with life. This popular stretch is packed with locally owned boutiques, chef-driven restaurants, cozy cafés, cocktail bars, and dessert spots like Salt & Straw and Papa Haydn. Whether you’re up for a leisurely brunch, window shopping, or an evening of wine and small plates, it’s all right outside your door. Outdoor lovers will appreciate being minutes from Washington Park—home to the world-renowned Japanese Garden, International Rose Test Garden, and Oregon Zoo. Just beyond that lies Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the U.S., offering over 80 miles of hiking and biking trails through lush Pacific Northwest wilderness. Cultural highlights are also close at hand. Spend an afternoon browsing the Portland Art Museum, catch an indie film at historic Cinema 21, or explore nearby galleries and pop-up events. The neighborhood frequently hosts farmers’ markets, art walks, and street fairs that make you feel like part of the local rhythm. With its unbeatable mix of walkability, dining, nature, and culture, this location offers an authentic Portland experience that keeps guests coming back.
